(Cody is watching TV in Dana and Richs family room)
(Rich enters dressed for work)
Rich- Hey Cody
Cody- Halkster, Dude
Rich- Uh Cody, dont you have anywhere to go? Today?
Cody- Gilligans Island Marathon?
(Rich sits down next to Cody)
Rich- Your bike shop.
Cody- Im leting JT open today.
Rich- Your eating ice cream at 8:30 in the morning?
Cody- Yeah buddy, you want some? Im getting killer ice cream headaches, haha.
Rich- Nah ill pass.
(Dana enters)
Dana- Rich, im leaving now.
Rich, bye hun, im leaving now too.
(At Port Washington Dept. of Justice)
Chad- We have a long awaited case today?
Dana- Whats the charges?
Chad- Attempted murder and robbery.
Dana- As long as hes in handcuffs im not worried.
(Suspect is brought in with only 2 policemen holding him back.)
(The electricity all over Port Washington goes out)
(The suspect escaped the police as he attempts to run)
Chad- Seal the exits, lock this place down!
(A moment of silence)
Chad- Dana are you ok?
Dana- Well.. Were in a black-out with a murderer running around....Im fine.
(At East Wisconsin Univercity, Rich Halkes art class)
Rich- (Talking to a student) If you add more water color to that your painting will show......
(Lights go out)
Rich- Ok class it seems we have a black-out, everyone remain seated.
(Anne, a 9 month pregnant student talks)
Anne- What a great time for a black-out. Oh god! I think my water just broke, professor Halke, call an ambulence!
Rich- (picks up phone)... uhh no responce, the phones are down. Does anyone have a cell phone?
Evan- No, you said cell phones werent allowed in class.
Rich- Ohh NOW you guys decide to start listening to me.
Evan- Dont you have one?
Rich- My wife has it now. Just remain calm.
Anne- Try being in my position, and remeining CALM, AHHHHHHH.
Rich- Does anyone know how to deliver a baby?
Evan- Nope your in charge now.
(Rich has a nervous look on his face.)
Anne- JUST DELIVER THE BABY, YOU BABY!
Rich- I cant look there, im a happily married man.
Anne- Just get this kid out of me DAMMIT!
Rich- Forgive me Dana.
(Back at Dept. of Justice)
(Suspect tries to sneak around the halls.)
(Dana grabbs him and cuffs him)
Dana- Haha gotcha scum ball!
(The lights come back on.)
Chad- Dana that was amazing.
Dana- Yeah, i always wanted to say that.
(Back at East Wis U)
(The lights come back on)
(The class huddles around Anne, as she holds her new baby.)
Anne- Thank you Professor Halke, and because of your bravery, ill call her Richie.
(Rich is rocking in a corner with his hair sticking up)
(At the house and Dana and Rich come home)
Rich- (Fixing his hair) Ohh what a day.
Dana- Your telling me.
Rich- So Dana how did you spend this light-less day?
(They both sit down on the couch)
Dana- Well, i apprehended a dangerous criminal running around the court.
Rich- Aww your first arrest, congradulations sweety.
(Todd walks in through the kitchen holding a 3 foot long sandwich)
Todd- Hey guys, home so soon?
Rich- Hi Todd, Whats with the sandwich?
Todd- After that black-out, i took all of your food out of the fridge, and put it in my ice cooler in my basement, to keep it cold. Dont worry i put it back.
Rich- Isnt that my sandwich?
Todd- Out of my defence, it came out of MY ice cooler.
(Todd leaves)
Dana- So Rich, what did you do?
Rich- Oh you know, i kept the class calm, delivered a baby.
Dana- YOU DELIVERED A BABY!?
Rich- (Nervously) Yes.
(Dana smiles)
Dana- (Pinches his cheeks) Ohh im soo proud of you.
Rich- Ohh your not mad?
Dana- Why would i be mad? You delivered a baby.
Rich- Ok Yeah, i should be proud of myself and you caught that creep at work.
(Cody walks in all fried)
Cody- Dude!, When the sign says High Voltage, thier not kidding.
Rich- Cody, what did you do now?
Cody- The battery in my motorcycle died, so i tried connecting it to a power box pole. Haha it worked, but now i cant remember what i did yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that.
(Rich gently moves Cody out the door)
